I agree with you. I work in Phoenix AZ and the I have the same issues.

Our manager let this one girl go home almost every day, she is hardly ever at work, if she is at work she is in a bad mood. Our manager ignores the issue, have lot excuses for her and protects her. Our workers can't take a day off or go to an appointment because of her. Our manager needs to straighten up or we all will go to HR soon.

I like my job but it is not fair to be treated this way.

I just wish our HR would go into this girls time card and see how many days she had missed work, she would be fired long time ago. I bet out of one year she missed 3 months.

Hopefully the employees reported this unfair treatment. Favoritism is rampant in this company, among managers toward employees. They reward bad employees, and don't realize as soon as these bad employees get a chance they will stab them in the back.

Similar problem in MA. The manager takes 5 weeks off every July.

So forget taking time off during the summer.

Even when you try to take vacaton after July it's just more excuses why he can't supply coverage. That and he loses an employee every year because they quit.
